As we refined our concept, we decided the choice of ethical framework should be left to the user. This led us to envision a solution centered on modular design, enabling tactile swapping of components to customize the phone's functionality. Inspired by Lego and its interlocking bricks, we designed a phone back composed of various tiles, each housing a specific component. Users could mix and match tiles, opting for larger ones like an extended battery or expanded storage, and even selecting an ethical module that aligned with their values. The design was a collaborative effort, with our team tackling the challenge directly to create a unified design language and cohesive aesthetic.
