A Bit About Me

I'm an Industrial Designer with a passion for storytelling through design, film, digital and physical media. My work spans industrial design, interactive experiences, museums, and television, combining creative thinking with technical problem solving to create meaningful experiences across both physical and digital mediums.

Alongside my professional work, I'm the Co-Founder of Field, a multidisciplinary design studio exploring industrial design, filmmaking, and creative travel, and I also operate Alcem Creative, my personal portfolio and creative practice.

I enjoy learning new processes, tools, and technologies, and thrive in collaborative environments where curiosity, making, and experimentation drive the outcome. Whether designing a product, building an exhibit, or telling a story through film, I'm always looking for new ways to connect ideas with people.

Field, a multidisciplinary design studio exploring the intersection of industrial design, filmmaking, and Travel. Built around storytelling and a constantly changing environment, Field documents our journey through design, travel, and experimentation while developing original products, ideas and experiences. It was Co-founded by myself and Charlie Chou (Fixman) as a way to explore the world through our love of design.

Working alongside my studies and other internship, I sought out further experience. Presented with an opportunity to help out on a few projects for the Museum of Play & Art (MOPA), I jumped at the chance to get my hands dirty with some large scale R&D design work.

(Planning, Conceptualising, Speculating, Prototyping, Documentation, Team building, Visualising, Research, Development, Networking, Sketching, Model making, CAD, CNC, Laser Cutting, Machining.)

Commencing separately from my Industrial Design studies, I seeked out an internship with a company working in the television and film business and came across Nick Pledge, an industrial designer with over 27 years in the film industry. He has been and continues to mentor me as a young prop maker and introduced me to the industry.
(Planning, Conceptualising, Speculating, Prototyping, Documentation, Team building, Visualising, Research, Development, Networking, Sketching, Model making, CAD, 3D printing, CNC, Laser Cutting, Machining.)

Putting my skills I’ve developed at university to work creating prototypes and props for my own satisfaction and to create for people. Aimed mostly at the cosplay community designing props and feature items to take to conventions, but also designing pieces for film students to be used in productions.
